Over the course of 4 decades, Alwaleed Philanthropies has provided support and spent more than 16 billion Saudi riyals on social welfare programs, and implemented more than 1,000 projects in more than 189 countries around the world, led by 10 Saudi female employees. Bringing the number of beneficiaries to more than 1 billion, regardless of gender, race or religion. The Foundation collaborates with a range of charitable, governmental, and non-governmental organizations to combat poverty, empower women and youth, develop local communities, provide disaster relief, and create cultural understanding through education.
Strong partnerships for success
The housing and car projects rely on strong cooperation, bringing together the Alwaleed Philanthropies Foundation, the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs, and the Developmental Housing Foundation - Sakan. This partnership aims to achieve a positive impact on the lives of beneficiaries and promote sustainable development. Likewise, the car project enjoys the support of Al Jazeera Agencies Company and Changan Almajdouie, to ensure the effective provision of cars, support economic growth and empower the beneficiaries.
Remarkable project achievements were achieved in 2022. These achievements include the acquisition of 1,000 housing units and the granting of 500 cars in batches 17 and 18, which contributed to improving the living conditions of deserving families. The organization has successfully completed project contracts, transferred documents and activated agreements with key partners. These achievements were celebrated during an annual ceremony attended by His Royal Highness Prince Alwaleed bin Talal and His Excellency Minister Majid Al-Hogail, to highlight the results achieved in the first year of the agreement.
We work with our partners to annually own: 1,000 housing units and 1,000 cars for beneficiaries in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and abroad to provide suitable housing and means of transportation for families most in need.
Based on Saudi Vision 2030, the Alwaleed Philanthropies Foundation, in cooperation with the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs, the Developmental Housing Foundation and other charitable institutions - Sakan, has launched ambitious efforts to meet the housing needs of the most needy families. This partnership aims to provide appropriate housing support and reliable means of transportation, to empower individuals and promote sustainable development throughout the Kingdom who meet the controls for housing support and the standards and requirements for selecting social security beneficiaries.
This partnership is an extension of the housing and car projects that our organization worked on over ten years from 2015 to 2021 with the aim of improving the standard of living of community members.
Within the tripartite agreement to house 10,000 families, Alwaleed Philanthropies Foundation, “Municipality and Housing” and “Sakan” celebrate 3,110 needy families entering their first homes.
